My grandfather (Opa) moved his family to the USA when my Dad was 6 years old. My grandparents baby sat me as a young child. Every morning when I arrived at Omi's she would have a piece of buttered toast with chocalate (from your store) waiting for me. All of the Dutch treats that I order each time puts a smile on my face and the memories fill my heart. Opa would order Dutch treats once a month. Now at Christmas I make goodey bags for my Dad and his brother. They are so pleased that I have rememberd my Dutch roots and enjoy the memories too. Now my three children look forward to our afternoon snacks together and my stories I tell them about my Dutch grandparents and their relatives that still live over seas. The Dutch rusk came here without being smashed and the chocolate hagel made it without being melted from the heat. I appreciate that you used a frozen jel bag to keep the chocolate from melting.
