FIVE SPICE MIHOEN SALAD WITH PINEAPPLEIngredients1 bag Conimex Mihoen 3/4 - 1 lb chicken tenders Conimex Wok Marinade 1 iceberg lettuce Conimex Wok Oil Conimex Five Spice Wok Sauce 20 oz tin pineapple chunks 3 tbsp coarsely chopped parsley Instructions 1. Cook Mihoen according to package instructions for about 2 minutes (either salt or ketjap may be added to the water before cooking). Immediately drain the mihoen in a colander, rinse with cold water and then allow to drain well. 2. Mix the chicken tenders with 4 tbsp wok marinade and allow to stand for 3 minutes in order to marinate. 3. In the mean time finely chop the iceberg lettuce. 4. Place a large wok on the stove and allow the wok to become quite hot. Add a dash of wok oil and wok the chicken for about 6 minutes. 5. Add 10 tbsp Five Spice Wok Sauce and wok for another minute or so. 6. Drain the pineapple making sure to retain the syrup. 7. In a large bowl combine the mihoen with the wokked chicken. Then mix in the lettuce, the pineapple chunks, 3 tbsp of the pineapple syrup and the parsley. 8. Divide the salad over 4 large shallow soup bowls. 9. Serve with Kroepoek. Serves 4 Preparation time is about 15 minutes |
