SOP BAJEM (Indonesian Spinach Soup)Ingredients½ pound ground beef 1 egg 1 Tbsp flour 1 Tbsp water 1 Tbsp Conimex laos pinch of cloves 8 oz fresh spinach cooking oil or butter/margarine 3 cups beef or vegetable bouillon 2 Tbsp Conimex ketjap pinch of Conimex ve-tsin Instructions 1. Combine the hamburger, egg, flour, water, laos and cloves. Make little soup balls from this mixture. 2. Coarsely chop spinach. Heat oil/butter and allow the spinach to bake in it for several minutes. 3. Add bouillon and ketjap and bring to a boil. 4. Add the little ground beef soup balls and ve-tsin and bring to a boil again. 5. Turn down heat to medium and allow to simmer for 3 - 5 minutes to allow meat balls to thoroughly cook. |
